I think some people forget they have them or forget how to use them. It's even more annoying when a police officer in front of you who should signal fails to do so.

It's common courtesy to let other drivers know what you're doing. It prevents more accidents to let other drivers know where you intend to go.

I wonder how many people out there wear a seatbelt for safety reasons yet fail to use their turn signals? Kind of contradicts itself to do one and not the other. I hear people say that its no one else's business where they plan to merge...would they disconnect their brake lights if it were possible too, after all its no one else's business when they stop either, lol.
