How high have you gotten your odometer up to?
I have a 1995 Honda Civic with 331,157 miles on it. Bought it used with 50,000 on it back in 1997.

1971 MB 220D, 840,000 miles.
My current fleet of cars/pu trucks all show in excess of 200,000 miles. None purchased with less than 100,000 miles on the odo at the time.

My new 2008 Nissan Armada LE has just under 1,000 miles.
The highest I have ever gotten my odometer to is 55,000 miles in my old red 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.

I had a 1989 Honda Civic with around 183,000 miles on it. It didn't break down...lost it in an accident.

I drive a 1999 Infiniti I30t with 173,000 miles on it. It runs fantastically, but I've replaced nearly everything, at a cost of over $9,000. Considering it retailed for $33,000 new, the total investment, with gas and maintenance is probably in upwards of $50,000.
I think, however, this is cheaper than buying a new car all the time.
