Heck to bad they could not fit the 5.2 or 5.9 magnum V-8 from the same era into it it is just a weird thing that they had no intention of putting a V-8 into their Retro Hot rod but then again back then the dodge viper was 0nly making just over 400 HP with a 8.0 Liter V-10.

Maybe Chrysler was afraid it would of taken Viper sales if the prowler had a proper V-8
and done.

The tC did exactly what it is supposed to do. It was an economy coupe. it got ~30 mpg on the freeway and was good in the city. It looked good too.

I'll agree on the rest though.

The tiburon looks so much faster than it is. Even the special edition one with more power and a 6 speed manual still isn't "quick".

Any of the v6 pony cars fit the bill as they look the exact same as their v8 models so to the outsider they don't know what you have in there.

Even the GXP or whatever they called it G6 wasn't that great of a car. Which is crazy that they could from what they didn't do with the G6 and do what they did with the G8.

It's interesting you define what makes a truck a good or bad one based on the ability to haul 15 yards of material.

For the same reason a Ranger might be a good fit for some, or an F150, or F350, all the way up to a Mack dump truck (apparently the only "non-poor excuse" of a truck out there).

What a dumb way to evaluate a truck. A truck with a 6 ft bed, 4.5 feet wide and 2 feet tall can only hold 2 cu. yards. Natural round rock, 2" in size, weighs 1.6 tons per cu. yd. So no standard half ton or 3/4 ton, or one ton truck can do what you suggest.

Prawler. Pure design exercise.
I'd prolly toss Nissan Cube into it. Along with Juke. Toyota hit it right with Scion Xb, that became an Icon, but those two...

Interesting side note about you saying Toyota hit it right with the Scion xB. Not a lot of people know that Scion is a Toyota brand. Some also have it completely wrong. With my tC, to my insurance I didn't drive a make: Scion Model: tC, I drove a make: Toyota model: Scion tC. That was always fun when I got pulled over.

Form over function? The full size SUV for a soccer mom. Who needs the hauling capacity of a full size work pickup to haul kids around town? Well, the suburban housewife that refuses to be seen in a minivan.

Rangers are what pickup trucks were supposed to be. SIMPLE.

I'd love to get a 4 cylinder, manual trans ranger. It makes no extra promises, has no gloat ... but at the end of the day, it's a simple truck.

My experience with Hummer H2s on trails is - they are too heavy and wide to be good off road. The independent front suspension from a 3/4 ton GM Truck doesn't articulate well either.
