Any recommendations for a sporty-coupe with a hatch?!
I am SOOO upset that Acura doesn't even make a two door car anymore. I have a 2006 RSX. The last year they were made. Those cars sold like hot cakes. I still can't believe they got rid of that car?
IF I WERE in the market for a sporty-style HATCH BACK -- I don't know what I'd get. I guess, I'd get the Honda CivicSi (if it has a hatch). I love the Hyundai Genesis but it's not a hatchback. (The Veloser is ugly.)
The hatch is NON negotiable. I'm never going back to a regular trunk. I'm too spoiled about all the storage room of a hatch.
So any recommendations for a sporty-coupe with a hatch?!
What's your budget? New or used? If willing to go used, up to how many years/miles? Do you want a sloped-style hatchback only (as found on the RSX) or will you also consider the boxier style like the VW Golf? I'm guessing by "sporty-coupe with a hatch" you're looking more for the slope-back type design...
Think Hyundai Genesis, Mitsibshi Elclipse, or old Toyota Celica -- only with a hatch.
The Infiniti Q30 is just a concept car right now.
I plan to keep my current '06 RSX until the doors fall off. It's got 150K on it...and definitely aiming for 300k.
It's my baby so I keep it well maintained and in pristine shape. So short of a bad accident, I hope to make it.
It's just fascinating to me that the sporty hatchback is so elusive.
Like I said IF i HAD to buy now, I suppose I'd get the Honda CRZ or Civic Si (if it's a hatch).
Technically I suppose I COULD go to a luxury brand, but I'd rather not. And I' haven't seen what I'm looking for from them either.
If you're looking for late-model car with a sloped/"fastback" type of hatchback your options are pretty limited. Unfortunately the Civic Si is not among them. The only ones I can think of off-hand are the Scion tC and the ungainly Mini Coupe.
I can only hope that by the time I'm actually looking to BUY one, that kind of car is available.
Maybe Infiniti's concept Q30 will be around by then.
