1985 Dodge Omni GLH. Fire engine red with a tan interior and a manual transmission. Bought new off the showroom floor when I done gradgiated from college. Biggest POS I have ever owned. Got rid of it in less than 18 months and bought a used 1985 Nissan Maxima SE. Still won't consider buying a another Chrysler product and that was 30 years ago.
1969 Plymouth Super Bee with the 383 Magnum motor. Blew that up and replaced it with an International Travel-all. Quite the letdown for a high school kid.
I thought I knew all euro-lopies, but d000d, Im stumped ! Renault?? Fiat??
Possibly a euro Ford? the roof almost looks like a backwards Anglia ~ about 1965?
Am I close
No, it's Moskvitch 408 circa 1970. Ours was bought for currency, in Beriozka store, for $1800. It was big deal to buy a car like this in country, where carrying a dollar in a pocket was criminal offense up 8 years in prison or, depending on amount found, even capital punishment.
Because it was sold at Beriozka, it was actually export variation. We never had any rust in that car in 20 years of ownership in country where cars rusted like tin cans.
Had whooping 1.075 L engine, producing 51, yes, 51 Hp. Fit five, or 2 adults, myself, then young kid, and 300 kilos of potatoes, aka 660 lbs.

I went to Wikipedia to search Beriozka and Moskvitch. Interesting reading. Some pictures too.Thank you ukrkoz for sharing. I learn something new everyday on this forum.
I pais 50 bucks for a white 1951 Ford convertable with no chrome or bumpers, only 2nd and 3rd gears. It had a flathead V-8 engine. I drove it for a year and sold it for 90 bucks to a guy that painted it black with a sponge.

Yeahh.. Those were good times. Beriozka was heck of a place to buy from. You had to have legal currency or be very connected.
Believe it or not, we had American lawyer involved to legitimize my granpa's inheritance from his mother that passed away in Phila. Took a year and letter he wrote to Brezhnev. That allowed him to receive something around $2000 in vouchers and he could buy that car. Otherwise, it was either a black market or wait in line for about 15 years.
What he should have done was to wait another year and buy this:
Which was a much better car.
