So i was driving home normally after the gym till I saw a bright flashing yellow light from a car on my right hand side.
While I was dazed by it, I noticed on the traffic light it was yellow so I gunned it and made it before it turned red.

Few seconds later I see flashing lights behind me....Im like really wtf is the cop gonna ticket me for that BS. It's his dumb light that made the whole traffic slow down and I made the light.
Either ways him being in a police van and me being in a "sliding car" I thought I could outmaneuver him from a ticket since I know the area well and can turn way faster then a huge truck/police van.

I eventually did outmaneuver him by making 70mph turns into a 35mph area. Turned off my engine, shut off the lights, and just walked back to my house. Once I get to my house, I grab my longboard and go check my car out so I can drive it back to my house.
I see flashing lights ahead of me and I knew they had me cuz they could check the VIN #/DL plate # and come knocking on my house.

I tell them the truth and apologize for running away. They told me I could be in HUGE trouble such as towing my car for 30days+, charging me for reckless driving, police evasion, WHICH I AM SO THANKFUL TO THESE GUYS for letting me off. AND I will never repeat the same dumb mistake again.
BUT he still charged me for running a red light and fast speed. The fast speed I have to take without a doubt, but I made the light by gunning it.........Why do I still get charged for crossing a red light...Should I fight it or just be blessed that these cops were nice and let me off and just pay the damn ticket?

unfortunately unless you can prove you were in the intersection on the yellow, you are rather S.O.L. on this, especially since you actually ran from the cops. and yes the judge will take that into consideration.

You would have been digging yourself into an even deeper grave, false police report.

Guys, just let it be. It's not worth carrying. His destiny will find him one or another.
