Heh. 2 lines is pretty meaningless because how many lines are there total? Even 1/4 tank is meaningless really unless we know how big the tank.
But anyway, 2011 Sentra, even if the tank is on the small side, if it's not pointing right at E and not showing a low fuel alert, then you could go probably 35 miles even in worst case conditions.
Low fuel alerts typically have 1.5 to 3 gallons left in the tank. Should be good for 30+ miles even with the light on. In some cars with a distance remaining calculator, the alert will start when the computer thinks there are 50 miles left.
In my current old car, what I've noticed is that the gauge now skews low. The thing shows E or less, but when I fill up it takes 2 gallons or more less than capacity, which is a bigger variance than it used to have. What's odd is the light doesn't come on early. I don't know why the light would have a different sensor, but apparently it does.
