I am deciding to purchase a car within a 25k range, used or new. I have come across couple cars that I did have in mind, but it came down to the G37 or the Genesis Coupe. One is a used 2011 Infinity G37 with all the packages and 25K mileage, or a 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track with only 3k mileage. I am so stumped. I don't know much about cars, except from what I read and watch.
Both are great options on opposite spectrums. The G37 will ride a lot softer, think GT rather than sports car. It would be quieter inside the cabin, more relaxed. The Genesis Coupe will be far more sporty, still have a great interior in Track trim and be faster to boot. I have a bias though as I own a 2011 2.0T RSPEC with a tune and a ton of performance mods.
Do you live where it snows? Get the G37x if you do.
A used G37 is a great car for the money.
Infiniti has 4yrs/60k bumper to bumper warranty. Powertrain is 6yrs/70k.
Hyundai (used) is 5yrs/60k bumper to bumper warranty and powertrain.
I'd personally go for the Infiniti. Will keep it's value better and is just a better overall car. I own a '12 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T and want something more refined for my next car. Little stuff, like no power passenger seat, no auto up/down passenger window, no HIDs, etc are why Hyundai is cheaper. Don't believe the Genesis coupe has HID or memory seats, where the G37 does.
Nothing for $25k new is worth getting. Get a slightly used car like the G37 instead.
I have not researched the cost of maintenance and repairs. I am sure if I am careful with the car, I would be fine.
If I were to get an insurance quota for both cars with the same information, would the price significantly vary?
Also, what do you mean the Genesis Coupe is more sporty? I have always heard that the G37 is more sporty. Is it because it engages the drivers themselves more?

The Track will certainly have stiffer suspension than the G37 and the Brembo brakes offer tremendous stopping power and the 3.8 V6 will offer better performance.
In your opinion, do you think that the 2013 Genesis Coupe Track with 3k mileage for 24k is a killer deal or should I wait around for another?
The only downside to getting this car is the color. I am not very fond of the car red and I have read that it may cost few hundreds if not thousands to get it professionally done.
The 2013 Mustang GT is also a nice contender if you're looking for brute speed. Not overly unique but it has the performance.
