If you haven't seen a Bugatti Veyron, there is one at the Lamborghini dealership on Eastgate rd in Las Vegas by the Automall.
They aren't everyone's favorite car BUT they are an engineering marvel. A very rare one at though. I believe only 399 exist. I've been an avid car guy for a long time. I've been to a lot of shows, this was the first time I've seen one in person.
I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures. I wasn't prepared, I left my tripod and shutter remote at home. Hand held long exposure pics are no bueno. Anyway, enjoy.
I have always loved this car. The design is something you either completely appreciate and understand, or you think it's hideous, not much middle room. The one in the picture looks to have some dust on it, the $1.5M price tag sends most people to the Lamborghini. Does that dealership have the Aventador? (sp)
For the middle class American a rare car would be anything over 100k these days. To the affluent or the car knowledgeable person it would be much different and not necessarily based on price.
If you have some time check out the show "Chasing Classic Cars" on the Velocity channel. I have seen cars on Wayne Carini's show that make a Bugatti seem commonplace.

That dealership has 2 aventadors. There's no dust on that veyron, that's the result of me trying to take pictures through very thick glass.
I meant literally rare. They only made 300 of these, and they are all over the world. There are not a lot in the states.
I saw plenty of exotic cars in the small town I lived in before I moved to Vegas. I saw a Pagani Zonda back in 2003 in a tiny little nameless town in Florida. I had no idea what it was but it was awesome. It wasn't until a few years ago when one popped up on Top Gear that I finally learned what it was.
So far, after today, there is only one car on my list that I want to see in person. The Agera R. I've seen pretty much every single exotic car, classic car, muscle car, pony car, luxury car, movie car, and sports car.
The Veyron isn't the coolest, but it's one of the rarest.
I have seen exactly one Veyron on the road. It was orange metallic and in the early morning sun it could be seen for a great distance away. The car was in Austin the week of Formula 1 - when we see lots of exotics.
At our local Cars and Coffee we've had 3 Veyrons show up on the same day. We have a dealer here, every now and then you'll see one driving around.
Doesn't do much for me, I think the styling is terrible. I was a much bigger fan of the Bugatti EB110.
The car that always wins the "rarest" award around here is the McLaren F1, there's at least two in Dallas, and they made less than 100 of those.
