My last car I simply called "girl". Usually it was something like this-"C'mon girl, you can get up this hill! Accelerate d*** it!"
The new car I call Shirley, for no reason other than I like Shirley Bassey, and Shirley Manson,of the group Garbage.

This question came up once several years ago and I thought, "how silly, naming your car, I've never done anything like that." Later that day I noticed myself talking to my car and realized to my surprise that I do have a name for it - its name is "Little Car". It's a 1991 Dodge Colt that I have owned since it was brand new.

OK Little Car, time to go home...
