That's what they do right now.

The "exams" are basically formalities to make sure that people can read a handful of different signs and signals, and consistently drive on the correct side of the road at the same time.

Then one must be capable of seeing the broad side of a barn from three feet away.

Congratulations, you pass! Please pay your $50 and we'll see you in 2042 when it expires.

In Florida they give licenses to people in their 80's. And I think to people that are blind, judge by the number of accidents that happen every 15 min. It's pathetic that all the state wants is money, they are there own worst enemy. We're I live by US 19 the most dangerous road in America. And you have old people that should of had their licenses pulled a long time ago indangering lives. There was a older woman in her 80's she drove into a crowd of people standing in the parking lot and killed a couple of them. Only then did the state take her license away.
