I recently moved and just finished getting my license, registration, and title in my new state this week.
I didn't put my new plates on my car until today BUT I was out driving on Friday and went through an intersection during a yellow light, but I'm nervous about the red light cameras in this city. I'm not sure how they work, so I'm worried about if I DID somehow get a ticket from that intersection... where would the ticket be mailed to? Would I get an additional fine for not having my new plates on my car?
Should I call the city police department's office tomorrow?
If they can't identify the car how can you get a ticket. I've gotten those were it comes with a picture of front plate, back plate, and you the driver. Right on red in California is $450.

Well it had the old plates on it from my other state, I'm sure there's a way of finding out who the car belongs to. My college friend once got a red light ticket while she was driving a rental car.
The company that handles all oc this is in Phoenix... IF they think u did wrong they will send u a letter to whatever address is associatedwith your plates. They will either send pics or tell you to go to a certain website to view pics and video....
So if the platesare associated with ur old address they will go there and the post office will forward.....
Yeah, it's fine. I mean, I wouldn't be happy about getting a ticket but if it happens it happens. I'm just wondering where I should expect it to be sent/how long it will take to get to the correct address.
In our area if a vehicle has out of state plates they throw out the ticket. If you were in the intersection with a yellow light and then it turned red you are legal and there will be no ticket/
I would not stress this too much. Sounds like you legally went through the intersection.
If not, the old plates are still on record as belonging to you. The mail will catch up.
