Question News, What is your favorite color on a vehicle?

Mine is Blue. I don't like white or silver colors on a vehicle.

News, White edges out silver as most popular color for autos.

DETROIT After seven years leading the pack, silver has given up its title as the most popular vehicle color in North America, losing out by a small margin to white and pearl white, according to a study done by DuPont Automotive Systems.

White's rise in popularity is a sign that some new color, possibly red, blue or black, will emerge as North America's favorite hue in the next year or so, DuPont says. In the 55 years that DuPont, which manufactures vehicle paints, has released the study, white usually emerges as a favorite for a year or two in between changing trends.

I love black and silver vehicles, my Yukon is black and it definetly looks great. Silver is nice but not necssarily on SUV's/Trucks. Red and blue look good on sports cars but not usually everyday passenger vehicles. Black is definetly my fav. by far, it looks great on almost anything but is a son of a gun to keep clean!

95 Maxima: Platinum Iris (essentially silver with a little lilac tossed in)
03 Maxima: Silver

Guess what I voted for?

No white and No black, ever

If you drive on dirt roads or in snow and slush, like I do, it pretty much doesn't matter. But I love yellow!

I'm not sure what color my truck is, I haven't washed it in 20 years. Still running, 310,000 miles on her. Starts every time..... I don't care what color I ordered her in. haha

In some cases, the color can become an important factor when buying an automobile. If you park your vehicle in the sun here in Phoenix, in the middle of July, the interior of a black or any dark vehicle will be much hotter than a light colored one.

Automotive paints improved significantly over the years, but I know metalic colors, like silver or gray, tend to oxidize faster than others, especially in the sunny regions, like Arizona.

I like red, I know the Mustang GT I had over 10 years ago was red with black trim. But now I like Canary Yellow, which is the color of my Nissan SUV. It definitely stands out in a crowded parking lot.

My truck is also a very dark red color, but the truck I had before it was also bright red.

Solid white. Looks clean and fresh, doesnt show much dirt as a darker colored car. Plus white cars look sick with black wheels and a carbon-fiber hood.

Favorites would be red then white. Have one of each now. Mike, I tried to buy a white truck when I was in Phoenix back in '95. Yeah good luck...they were on backorder for months! Settled for red.
