Do carmakers still make glove boxes that can lock with the car keys? I guess I can answer my own question when I go to the auto show next month.

No kidding! My gun won't fit in there anymore.

People used to wear gloves when driving.

Mine holds the car manual, insurance card, napkins, straws and pens. I try to clean it out every few months but it seems to constantly overflow with junk I find on the floor.

Depends on the car. My Versa has a humongous glove compartment. Seriously, I could fit several loaves of bread in there. It kind of helps that Nissan stuck the passenger air bag under the trim on the front of the dash.

On the other hand, my friend's Bronco has the teeniest glove box ever, and it doesn't even have a passenger side air bag. I think he can fit a pack of cigarettes and a flashlight inside and that's about it.

Little car, glove compartment as big as a breadbox. Huge SUV, barely enough room for a light and a pack of smokes. Go figure.

Yes, but the ones on our 69 Chevy C10 wouldn't hold much more than a small cup because there was not enough clearance between the door and dash pad.
