That was a very nice gesture.

I couple of years ago, I was taking my sister home, when a guy pulled up beside my car at a traffic light and pointed downward at my car. I rolled my window down and he told me my tire was flat and advised me to pull into a nearby service station. I did and he pulled in behind me. He told me to pop my trunk which I did and he took out my spare tire, crowbar and jack. Mind you, it was pouring rain out. This man, a complete stranger, took the time to change my tire in the pouring rain. I stood near him and held my umbrella over him while he worked on my tire. The umbrella wasn't big enough to cover both of us so I stood in the rain and got drenched. I didn't care though. He was far more deserving of that umbrella. When he was done, I couldn't thank him enough. I offered him money for gas or coffee or something but he declined it. I was so grateful to him.

After he told me my tire was flat, he could have continued on his way but he didn't. He really went above and beyond for me and to this day, I am still very appreciative of that.

(Note: It didn't feel like my tire was flat. I did hear a 'grumbling' sound that is common when driving on a rough surface. Other than that, there wasn't any obvious signs of a flat tire)

Well I'm a woman...but I stopped for a family once that had broke down at the entrance to Walmart. They were getting all kinds of honks and evil stares. The guy eventually just pushed his car into the lot and I drove them home. My Dad was upset, saying they could have killed me and stole my car lol. Women shouldn't be doing stuff like that! We have a lot of dopeheads that ride around with their kids and beg for "gas money" in my hometown.
