Why not? Just because it's popular doens't mean that it's 100% perfect for everyone. Often times, the core vehicle is good enough, but the details are where it needs to be improved in the buyer's eyes. And for many of us, a stock vehicle (which is a committee designed compromise as it is) is only the starting point for a much more personalized vehicle. There are damn few stock vehicle that I wouldn't want to customize, and the ones I'd leave alone tend to be high dollar exotics that I cannot afford. Everything else is just a starting point to build from.

Those big wheel/tire combinations weren't made for 4Klb vehicles. Is it supposed to look good?
To the owner, it does. But those Donks were made for one reason: to stand out in a sea of stock vehicles or more traditional customs.

You have a daily driver car there. What you need is a project car/street beast to stand out.

Fuzzy dice.

Curb Feelers.

"I Like Ike" bumper sticker.

Mount a set of steer horns on the hood.

All of these would be inexpensive and fairly unique mods to this model of car.

the cheapest thing you can do to make your car stand out is paint. in the old days a little flat black in the grill, black out the chrome trim, and some paint stripes or pin striping will make your car stand out from the crowd. you can get rolls of pin stripe fairly cheap and apply it yourself. you dont need a lot, you just need it to be tasteful and different.
