  • You have more exhaust decibels than your engine has horsepower.
  • You have aftermarket FRONT wheels for racing but stock rear wheels.
  • Your engine makes twice as much horsepower as torque.
  • 17" rims up front, 13" out back on your FWD.
  • You ever painted your wheels to match the same color of your car.
  • You put your automatic car in neutral at every stoplight in order to roll it back and try to fool other people into thinking you have a manual transmission
  • DuPont gave up trying to figure out the shade you were asking for.
  • Your mod list includes stereo equipment, shifter handle, MOMO steering wheel, PIA driving lights, exhaust tip, but no REAL engine parts.
  • A chameleon lizard undergoes fewer shade changes than your custom paint scheme.
  • Your rims and tires are so large, that you have to install the tire / wheel from underneath the car because it simply won't fit in the wheel well going in from the side.
  • The dealer laughs when you bring your car back in for service under warranty, and you've only had it 6 months...

  • You add a super tall rear wing, and a hundred pounds of aftermarket ground effects, neon and stereo yet you gut the interior and yank out the rear seat for weight savings.
  • Your rear wing AND your rear window have a third mount brake light...
  • The back lighting in the gauges in your A-pillar gauge pod work long before the actual gauges are hooked up.
  • You cut 4 coil springs and scrape the chassis on the ground. Sparks are cool when you corner at normal traffic speeds!
  • You have to find a way to drive AROUND speed bumps in a parking lot.
  • You install clear corner and brake lights.
  • You install colored bulbs in your aftermarket clear lenses.
  • You ever put neon on the bottom of your car, and then busted it on the first speed bump you went over.
  • You painted the UNDERBODY of your car to match
  • If your rear spoiler is taller then you are.
  • if you can fit a fist thru your exhaust tip
  • You have more stereo WATTS than engine TORQUE!

Funny list, but there is no such thing as a "1970 Plymouth Daytona Superbird."

There was a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona and a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird.

This might sound silly, and it could be a name the younger generation uses, but I'll ask. What is a "Ricer"? I've never heard that term before. I've heard the term "Rice Burner" for Japanese motorcycles that look like Harley Davidsons and that's about it.

Funny list!!

You might get different definitions, but a ricer is basically a japanese (asian) car, modified to make it look like a suped up sports car.

Taking a Toyota or Honda, spending thousands, and making it look like this...

As John said, they are just about any import small compact car that someone soups up to "sound fast". Nowadays you will see any make or model car that someone has trashed out to be a "ricer". I've heard them called: ricer, rice burner, fart cans, etc. Funny to see some Caddie some punk has dressed out to be a "ricer".

And what's with all these 4-door foreign cars. Back in the day, a 4-door was considered a grocery getter, with the speed action being 2-doors only. This new looks seems backwards to me. If you were into real muscle cars, you didn't want to be seen in a 4-door. This makes about as much sense as a 4-door Camaro, Chevelle or Corvette.

Mike a Ricer is someone that takes a Asian car and turns it into a Rice Burner as shown above.

Here is the perfect example of domestic rice... not all rice is Japanese. I was behind this "Mach 1" Mustang today () and got a good laugh. All car guys out there should immediately begin to find lots of problems with this "Mach 1". Let the fun begin!
