Actually, aside from the tach and speedometer, they all are to some extent.

As mentioned already, the oil pressure gauge drops only when PSI dips below 8.

My old Ranger always read "low" and the one instance of overheating only brought that gauge to the halfway mark. When my AC turns to heat during a hurricane evacuation, that's my sign to pull over at the rest stop. I don't even want to know what would have brought it all the way up!

The fuel gauge just moves in increments and both my F150s have about five gallons left in the tank when the needle points at empty. That's not a bad idea, though.

The altmeter/voltmeter is definitely a fake and just points halfway up.

That's one of the things I really dislike about Ford. They have what I call "idiot gauges". They're not much better than idiot lights. My Chevy gauges are all indexed so I know what my coolant temperature in degrees and I know what my oil pressure is in psi. My Jeep has an idiot gauge, but I can display the exact coolant temperature on my DIC, along with oil pressure and transmission temperature.

A long time ago my wife had a Ford Explorer. The temp gauge didn't move. Dealer said it was normal.

I ran for a long time with no thermostat in a couple of my vehicles. The HUGE problem, no fricken heat.....other than that, ran quite well.
