1975 Buick Skyhawk. 16 MPG. Glove box barely large enough to fit a glove. Tires wear out every 10k.

It was the V6 version of the Monza. Monza was R&T 1975 Car of the Year.

WORST by FAR: Was my wife's 1996 Escort Wagon. Both transmission and engine header blew before 75,000 miles (my wife is NOT a hard driver). Constant problems with the thing- almost every week. One of the worst pieces of crap ever made. Got rid of it and bought.....

BEST: Honda Accord. Almost 160,000 miles on it and ZERO problems except for having to replace the radio antenna that quit raising up.

Worst: 76 Olds Cutlass. Rusty POS that needed more work than what it was worth.

Best: 93 Chevy S-10. Put it thru hell and it never would die.

Worst: 1981 Ford Fairmont. By the time it ended up in my hands in 1991, it was a rusting, rattling piece of crap with god-awful build quality. But then, I suspect it was already all of those things (except maybe the rust) the minute it rolled off the assembly line.

Best: 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon. What a great all-around package. Great for hauling stuff, great for highway road-tripping, great for commuting, great for spirited driving (once I replaced the crappy OEM tires anyway), and especially great for driving sideways down winding gravel roads.

Worst: 1997 Ford F-150. Windshield leak that no dealer could fix correctly. Constant repairs needed due to this very common F-150 problem.

Best: 1984 Toyota Celica GTS. 20 years, 175k miles. Regular oil changes, scheduled maintenance, and zero problems. Still running smooth today at 235k miles - Beginning to wish I kept that car back in '03.

WORST . . . 1978 Mercedes 300CD. What a ridiculously high priced piece of GARBAGE requiring constant visits to an obnoxious gaggle of snooty goons doing busines as a Mercedes Dealer.

BEST . . . 1987 Chevy Silverado 4X4 Pick-Up. My biggest mistake was selling her about two plus years ago. Damn, I wish I had that truck back in my garage.

Worst: 86 Chevy Cavalier. Problem after problem after problem. Anything from a alternator that blew with 40K miles on the car, to a rear oil seal that busted, to bad CV joints.... UGH. I cant believe I kept the car for a year. Whatta piece!!!

Best: 96 Toyota Paseo. I had the car for 7 years, put over 150K on it, drove the **** out of it too. Only thing that ever broke on it was a o2 sensor, which I replaced for $45 (dealer discount... muhuhahaha). I did a clutch and 2 brake jobs and had to adjust the e-brake once too (no thanks to all the winter drifting we do), but those were normal wear and tear repairs. 7 years and $45 later, it was the best car Ive ever owned. Wouldnt mind getting another one if they werent so hard to find (2nd gen).

You don't see alot of the Monza bodied Skyhawk's around anymore, there are only a very few of those left, you don't even see many of the Monza's around anymore either.
