Does anyone else like well worn trucks better than new trucks? To me a good truck should be something you can throw lumber/lawnmower in or scratch/dent while working without the thought of making it "unpretty" crossing your mind. You also don't feel bad about getting in with muddy boots or dirty hands. The paint may be faded and there's a little rust in spots, but it's mechanically simple and reliable. Perhaps it just sits off to the side and is only driven when work needs to get done.

Meh, I can't stand damaged vehicles, I would be all over the LMC catalog fixing those trucks bodies, andnprobably interiors.

Yes, they do have a charm of their own but they need to live in their own habitat. They look out of place in suburban driveways and mall parking lots. They need to be surrounded by farms, hay, lumber, rivers and streams. The reverse is also true. A King Ranch has no business being anywhere on the farm.

If you take up three spaces because you are an inconsiderate *******, expect to be treated as such. Hope you don't mind bad things happening. Hope you don't mind being called out, boxed in or having your truck towed. If I was running up and down the road all the time putting 100,000 a year on, then I'd purchase a King Ranch.

Old falling apart truck loose their charm in a hurry when you spend more time fixing than you do driving. If the mechanicals are strong, have fun.

My favorite body style of pickup was the 73-79 Ford F series.

I like the styling on a lot of the older trucks more than new (especially new GM's unfortunately), the Superdutys really look good to me though. A little faded paint and some minor scratches don't look bad, but I don't like dents and rusty rotted panels.

Scratches and dents inside the bed don't bother me but the outside should be straight and rot free.

Easy to find a beat up truck in any city,,not so in rural areas....In my area they are treasures. Many never leave the property...When my "Betsey" died last year at 276,000 miles of age I felt sick...I had her cremated at a junk yard and had to travel into New Jersey to find a replacement.....Today Betsey lives on in "Gertys" body, wears her snow plow proudly in winter, like Betsey,,,she couldn't pass any inspection, but she's a runner, has great sneekers and a good attitude.....
