Personally, I fell in love at first glance & as far as I'm concerned, it is a dream to drive. The mileage is supposed to be 27 - 31. I'll see as time goes on.
Why do people not like this car? Does anyone have an opinion?
Personal taste. The styling is very polarizing. People either love it or hate it. Basic shape has plenty of function. I just think they went too far in funky styling. When I see one on the road, I expect to see a purple hair Japanese anime girl in a school uniform. Kia nailed the funky box car styling with the Soul.
Thanks for that comment, lol. But they'll see gray hair, not purple when I step out. I haven't seen the Soul but have heard they are similar. I'll have to look at one to see.

I'm with you on both counts. Ugliest cars since the Pontiac Aztec but worse. I also consider the Nissan Leaf to be ugly, as are most of the electrics other than Tesla.
I like it, it looks like an aquarium.. It's a fun cute daily driver. It's not a car to show off. It's funky and different.
I like the Kia soul too. It's cute ute and made to be cheap daily driver.
Would I buy it? No. Cause its not for me, but I always look at it in the road.
I had a honda element, I thought it was funky funny looking, but in 2003. Nothing else looked like it. It can haul a lot of stuff. It's a great daily driver.
Who cares what people, think. Your money, you drive whatever you want.
That's what makes us all different.
I don't have anything good to say about all the cars some of the members here drive, but I don't have it in my driveway, so it doesn't affect me.

I know some senior citizens who dyed their hair purple...or was it blue? I think they were going for the ultra-black look, but really, it was bluish-purplish.
If YOU like the car, that's all that matters!
I think it looks like a fun, cartoon car! My friend's daughter drives one and loves it.
It and the Kia thing are the Gremlins of this era is why.
Exactly.
I had a Gremlin back in the '70's and loved it. It was a Gremlin X with a lot of options....fancy sport wheels, roof rack, rear wind deflector, sun roof. Gremlins were built from 1970 to 1978, so they had a fairly long run.
I have a '70 Gremlin sitting in my garage right now. Picked it up about 10 years ago. Get a lot of favorable comments on it at car shows (and some unfavorable ones )
Personally, I love the cube vehicles out there. At least when you see one you know what it is. Majority of cars today, you have to get close to see the emblem to tell what they are.
To the OP, if you like it, buy it. But be sure to check out the Soul.
