^^^ I own several Model T and Model A Fords.

The factory tool kit has enough tools to remove and take apart the carb, replace the cylinder head, change spark plugs, change the oil, set the timing, swap the battery and crank the engine should the battery be dead... not tools required to change out the headlight bulbs...

All the tools for the above fit in a small canvas bag about the size of a purse... really not a lot of special tools or an extensive amount required.

I have an 18 year old son. I alway have loved and been into cars. My son was following my foot steps. the big change occurred for him when we actually went out looking to buy him a car. He always talked of classic cars. We discussed a few cars that could work as a daily driver for him. He found a few good examples of each make/model to go see.
The 1st thing that turned sour was the price the owners were demanding. These were not the hot rare models. Just the more common models, such as a Lemans, not a GTO. I think these car shows pump up prices or ideas what some people think their cars are worth. The 2nd thing was the actual driving of the older car. They are crud and unsafe compared to modern vehicles. They drive no where like a modern vehicle.
We do still enjoy car shows and related. Just with no room nor money for a hobby car, my son is happy with his 04 Mercury Maurader.

There are a lot of young guys that are into cars. Except almost none of them care to own classics. They cost money to restore, can't daily drive them, and stupid expensive to make fast in a straight line yet alone around corners.

That doesn't mean we don't like or enjoy looking at them. Most people my age to people in their mid 40's tend to prefer 90's and up euro and Japanese imports that's all. You can daily them whether they are slammed for shows/meets, built for drag, or built for road courses/autocross.

There is a local guy that's about 55 and drives a 550whp yellow Evo.
