Anyone see any late-90's- Early 00's Daewoo's on the road when GM was selling them Mad TV used to make fun of them all the time
I have not seen one in a few years. Someone who worked for me bought a Nubira, and I used to see a Nubira wagon fairly regularly. I would assume that both have self-destructed by now, or had no parts availability, and were retired from use as transportation.

Daewoos had a problem with timing belts breaking and taking out the engines before the scheduled interval. Well, that and the fact they were awful. Even Kias were better than Daewoos.
But if you still want a Daewoo, head down to your Chevy dealer and pick up a Spark or an Aveo. Probably the crummiest cars on the road today.
Couple from the Oshawa/Bowmanville area taken in the last month or so.
As a kid in high school I would have loved a Cavalier Z24. For its class and time they were pretty quick in straight line acceleration and the V6 was more reliable than the performance engine in the Sunbird GT & Skyhawk T-Type Turbo. The 1.8L SOHC turbo & 2.0L SOHC turbo were both faster than the V6 in the Z24. Heck, those turbo 4 engines were faster than virtually all other compact sports models. Too bad the suspension didn't match the engine performance. GM's solution to improve handling was bigger tires. There's more to sports suspension than wide tires.
1959 Cadillacs are a popular selection for restoration, as that is the year the Caddy's famous fins reached their highest mark- that car will never go extinct.
Although, back in the day, when a 59 Caddy was just an old car- those fins really were big on rusting out.
Very true, but of the cars that are extinct of heading that way I am thinking that their is a reason for that.
There's a beat up old early nineties Dodge Shadow I see almost everyday at work. I only started seeing it recently. I don't know how long it's been since I've seen one before this.
Almost three years later and I still see this car. I know this is an old thread, but I had to say that.
One of my coworkers was driving a mid-1970s Pinto until recently. He's an electrical engineer earning at least $150K, so he could have easily afforded something newer. He is the embodiment of the stereo-typical cheap engineer.
