.... would you love to own again? I don’t care if you sold it, traded it, wrecked it or lost in a divorce. Call it the day before that act occurred. You found it again, in a climate controlled facility, cared for by an army of master mechanic trolls and while its older, it’s in at least as good of shape as the day before last time you saw it.

What, why, when and where? Pictures of it or even the same from the ‘net are welcomed also. I know some of you kind folks have some great stories and I’d love to hear them.

After my first car got smashed up, a rusty Pinto, I ended up with a Mazda Rx2. I loved that stupid car. The interior was really great, very high end finishes, even had a antenna with a switch to make go up and down! It was almost a luxury car for me after the Pinto. It was a fun car to drive if you liked "interactive driving". Manual transmission, of course, it was the best shifting manual I ever drove. Since it was a rotary engine it had a different sound and feel. One thing different/strange, but needed in cold weather starts, it had a manual choke.
This is similar body but mine was all silver.

For fun I would like that car again, but what I would like even more is a vintage Mustang, never had one always wanted one.

2007 Legacy GT Spec B
Rare Legacies done up with STI bits, less than 500 made for the year. Great sleeper.

Sold it to someone who totaled it a month later.

Now wait a darn minute! Why are you posting pics of one of my Mopars? I had the exact same car, color, wheels, etc. It came to me with a 318 Poly engine. That's the almost 318 Hemi of the day. Poly Heads would really make a 318 scream so I know exactly what you mean when you say it would haul ass. The old 318 Polys got pretty decent gas mileage too.

I wish I could have back my 34 Ford Coupe and the 1972 Dodge Monaco Brougham 2 door. They only made the Monaco in that body style for 2 years. It's rare to see one today.

1972 Volkswagen Squareback. I liked everything about that car. It had disc brakes, fuel injection and was as reliable as today's Japanese cars. It was way ahead of it's time.

1985 Toyota Celica GT. It was all fixed up with nice wheels and suspension. It was totalled while parked in front of my mom's house by a distracted nurse in a Buick Regal...

1989 SAAB 900 turbo convertible.

About the only area where this car didn't excel was truck space.

Fun and a really nice car without being too pretentious

Outstanding vehicle for bad weather.

Great family owned dealership in Calumet City, IL.

I traded it in 1996.

Found a used 1990 in 2000 that was the exact same model which I kept around as my "weekend" ride until 2015. Still ran fine but started popping out of 3ed occasionally and had a few leaks that needed to be taken care of in addition to needing tires.

Donated to charity at the time of my move.
