I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe z71. I bought it 4 years ago from a neighbor. For 10k. It only had 26k miles on it and the interior was like brand new. ( leather with Bose stereo system and rear DVD system). The people who owned it were elderly and didn't drive it much. The body had a lot of little dings, dents and scratches, but it ran like new. Last November a city tree fell on it. The windshield cracked, the luggage rack broke, the hood, fender and top were also dented. The city paid me 7,600.00 for the damage and the body shop I took it too charged me 4,500.00 to repair the damage and repaint the entire vehicle. I spent an additional 350.00 to replace the headlight, parking and fog light assembles. Now it looks and runs like its brand new. I trade off driving it with driving my 2014 accord. I am only about12 miles from work and I can walk to pretty much all I need to do from home.
I just replaced my 1999 Jeep Cherokee daily driver with a 2003 Dodge Stratus coupe but, I still have the Jeep. My show/hobby car is a 1986, my weekend car is a 2005 and the wife's is also a 2005.
My car is a 2005, bought it almost 8 years ago. It's got 165K on it and I plan on driving it at least another 50K miles. My wife's car is a 2003 with 180K on it. I might be looking to get her another car soon but I would still keep her current car in the stable.
I drive a 2014 Infiniti QX80. I traded in my 2003 Tahoe on it last year.
