I never buy warranties. If your prone to breaking things then spend your money on them.

I the last couple of times (over the decades) -- I have gotten the extended tire warranty, insurance call it whatever you want -- I get it. I don't buy cheap tires though. I'm open to revisiting that next time. I'll just have to see.....

As is everything else. I've always bought the cheapest tires for my cars, and nothing untoward has happened. I have gotten nails in a few, but I live in South TX, where driving behind many overloaded trailers carrying any manner of sharp objects that are bad for a tire's survival is par for the course. Our roads are also often in lousy condition, but that road hazard can often be avoided merely by vigilant driving on the stable part of the street.

When I am paying 300+ per tire thats when i want the warranty.
Agreed. I've had to use the warranty three times in the life of one of my vehicles. After the cost of the warranties, I still saved $600 had I not had it. Tires are one of the very few things I buy a warranty for. I seem to have a knack for finding nails that puncture in bad spots on expensive tires.
