I prefer the Cadillac badge with the crest around it, but back in the day, the badge was more like it is today. They have changed it back and forth through the years.
I kind of like the edginess of the new one but nothing beats the ones with the laurel wreaths around the crest. FYI here is a history of the badges (not including the newest). The 1963 and the 1980 are my favs
Cadillac is not the icon it used to be. You don’t hear “It is the Cadillac of...” any more. In the midst of Ford LTDs and Chevy Impalas, Cadillac was somebody. Today, it has to go up against Lexus and Infinity. BTW, Geely was roundly criticized for copying the Cadillac logo. Looks like Cadillac has stolen their logo back.
Modern, clean, I like it. As traditional as the wreaths and embellishments are for Cadillac, I think this quite well represents Cadillac's current styling of their product line.
Related, I just recently assisted a customer in upgrading the grille and crest of their 2014 CTS for the new 2015 badge shown in Sabre's post. So, there's an actual Cadillac owner that likes the newest look better. I have to agree, seeing the car before and after.
I like the ones before 1932, with the ducks on it. Most of them are all the same coat of arms, with slight style variations and bordering devices. Actually it still had the ducks on it until 1985, but increasingly inconspiuous until they were replaced by solid blocks of color.
