Nova was actually a damn fine car. We had a 78 Buick Skylark with the sweet 350 V8. It was comfy, quiet, smooth and just the right size. There is nothing like it today, is there?
I'm old fashioned -- or maybe just old (enough)....
I MUCH prefer when car models have actual NAMES (and then if there's a name/number that'st fine)
-- Chevy Nova.....Chevy II
-- Acura Integra
-- VW Beetle...
I cannot tell the difference between the various....alphabet 'names.'
It's been years...and I still don't know which is the Acura TLX, RLX...
I know Audi has "A"s, right? A10, Q10.
Cadillac has "alphabet" models now? TXS, TRX...WHO THE HELL KNOWS? ABC?, DEF?
Just give the car a frigging NAME? And then maybe add a letter "suffix" -- for the different option levels.
Yes you are totally correct - I was thinking of the Vega!
If only they had code numbers instead of names...
And the Chevy nova was made by Toyota for GM at their Fremont cal. Plant from 1985-1988
Was manufactured as a NUMMI subcompact based on the FWD Toyota Sprinter.
