I failed parallel and still passed. I took the test, I screwed up doing the parallel parking, but then told the person to hold on, I was going to do it right.. Did it again and nailed it. They still marked it as a fail, but I passed the overall test. This is in SC.

I do remember that was about the only thing you could screw up and still pass. If you failed the parallel, you had to nail the rest of the test. I missed that, and didn't turn the wheels toward the curb when parking on the street and still passed by 1 point.

Now.. I'm not sure if I had an advantage or disadvantage. The person giving me the test had taken someone out just before me, they came back in 2 minutes, the person taking the test just stuck his head in the door and waved his parents to come on. I talked to the examiner while we were doing the "Walkaround" of the vehicle and she said that he pulled out in front of an 18 wheeler.

Apparently THAT is an instant fail in SC.
