Do you put seat covers on your vehicle's seats if it's only grown ups (no eating in the car)?

I would definitely put seat covers if I had kids pets or if I ate/drank while driving. But I don't. Maybe seat covers would come in handy if I got muddy pants or in case someone suddenly vomits/sneezes.

Did you install seat covers on your vehicle? Why or why not?

Only on my back seat where my German Shep sits and no one else...if they
did I can easily slip it off for them in a pinch.

All my vehicles have had seat covers before I ever had kids or pets. Seat covers take the wear and tear of you sliding in and out of your truck seats instead of the cloth seat itself. I never found much use for them on leather as they are always sliding around and look odd.

Nope, never used them even with kids. Why, I think they look tacky.

Never had them when the kids were small (they're all grown now). I do have them now in both trucks, mainly due to what was already stated, they cut down on the wear and tear of sliding in and out.

The molded seat covers that have the looks and feel of leather look great, and protect the seat's material. But I agree without about the cheap non-molded cloth covers. If you plan to sell the car a few years later, seat covers will help protect the seats. The same can be said to the all-weather molded floor mats that catch dirt, snow, and water and prevent it from getting on the carpet below.

Seat covers are a relic from the 70s. The ones I have seen were used to cover a problem spot. They generally look awful.

My upholstery is very light in color (never again) so I wished I'd used them. But there's always steam cleaning.

I know people who use them all the time and pay good money for them... People on here who think they look tacky have NEVER seen a real seat cover....

Leather, hand stitched in an opposing color, perfect fit, $2,000 or so.. Those are real seat covers, NOT some crap you buy at Walmart......

I installed Wet Okole (neoprene - like a dive suit) covers on my Jeep when it was new. I figured these would be perfect for protecting the seat cloth with the top off. Both against UV and unexpected rain. Plus as a bonus, they had map pockets which the original seats do not.

Well, guess what folks, they don't breathe at all. Sitting in the Texas sun, it's a sweat factory! So, they came back off. Now my cloth seats are showing wear. Bummer. I figured I'd just use the covers for kayak and camping trips, but they sure are a project to take on and off so, that doesn't happen as much as it should.
