I saw a girl on you tube who bought a new orange corvette and spray painted the rims and emblems black with rattle can spray paint. Why do that to a corvette?
I have a cousin in his 20s who spray paints his rims black. He drives a 2009 purple dodge charger, and he can peal the spray off once he is tired of the black look. It turns into a rubbery matte black look and can just peal off when he wants the chrome look again. He said he can't afford the real thing right now so he just uses that spray on.
Because of this thread I started paying attention to all the black rims on cars. Most look terrible and cheap, but then you come across one that looks great. It throws your mindset. PS, this three wheeled vehicle is awesome, but you have to get sick of any and everyone talking to you about it. About 8 people went and talked to him the 5 mins he took to get in and leave.
Just a personal taste, I like the look as you can see from my personal vehicle. But the expensive chrome rims are coming back into style, like American Forces.
I love the black wheels but all 4 of my black cars have black wheels. I`ve had them for many years and for the past 4 -5 years everyone is wanting to do it. Now I want to do it different because I cant get everyone to stop doing it,lol
