Anyone ever do this? In some countries it is perfectly legal. I wonder is there are any US states where it's permissible to drain the ole lizard if the urge hits? I would think if your were discrete you wouldn't have any problems. However, I also heard of a man who had to register as a sex offender for getting caught in this simple act.

Very common in Alaska as long as you step in the brush and out of view. If you do it in the open you could have your lizard shot on the head

I think most of us have done that once or twice, just make sure to be out of sight, in the trees, or at least blocked by the car and wait for any traffic to go by. Here the law is "Public Urination" and in Seattle the fine is $277, made low and mild to help the homeless population. In Yakima, it's up to $250 and/or 10 days in jail. The state law 9.02.320 provides for a fine of $250. If a policeman observes you it's not likely that you will get off in court.
While I don't think that someone who is taking a leak should be considered a sex offender, it's something that should be limited to the privacy of a bathroom. There's really no need for that nonsense on the side of a road.

When nature calls.. Although, yes, in today's world, where there's a gas station at every exit..
But, there are times.. I'd rather have someone pull over and whiz on the side of the road than try to drive while peeing into an old gatorade bottle. Or worse, a coke bottle.. The necks on those aren't as big.. lol

There are numerous places to stop along the way without showing yourself in public.
Go to a rest area, truck stop, restaurant, gasoline station or anywhere but on the side of the road.

If you aren't feeling well, or in some other similar situation, you have to do what you have to do. But, with exception to unusual circumstances, it's best to keep these behaviors limited to the privacy of a bathroom or designated area instead of carrying out such nonsense on the side of the road.
I've had to do #2 on the side of a road before. Ate some bad chicken. It was either that for do it in my pants in a crowded van on a 16 hour road trip. I chose wisely.
