You still needed a stearing wheel puller to get it off.
Years ago I removed the steering wheel on my '85 Merkur to install an aftermarket cruise control.
Undo the big nut and you could pull it right off.
Fortunately my '89 has one of those fancy factory cruises.
Steering wheels have changed a lot. Now they have airbags and are no longer huge and spindly.
Wipers have changed as well. The blades are fatter and better, also the way they are attached on many vehicles has changed. It used to be every car would end up with a small triangle of water at the bottom center of the windshield. Not so anymore.
Engines and transmissions have changed A LOT. So much of them is now computerized.
Dipsticks
Interior door handles
Glove boxes
Rearview mirrors
Nuts and bolts
Carpets
My Mercedes E500 didn't have a dipstick......computer told you the oil level. Lotus Elise's didn't have carpet back in 2005, the floors were aluminum!
