For those that say to keep a 6-second interval between vehicles, where do you live?
A 6-second interval at 70MPH is about 615 feet apart. That's about 8 cars per lane per mile. Where do you live that there's only 16 cars per mile (2 lanes)? If you're East of the Mississippi, the interstate highways are a lot more congested than that. Heck, hop on I-95 anywhere, at almost anytime and it's packed with vehicles.
This just happened in my hometown......they had been there as long as I can remember....
