It's that time of the year. Most of the country switched over to the winter time.
Now I drive to work in roughly bright dawn and return back home in practically complete darkness.
Thing is, I do real well in dark in the morning. But transition to night, dusk, is very hard on me. Add to this say heavy rain and it becomes very treacherous commute.
Personally, I'd rather go back home at daylight, and go to work in dark. I brushed same question with a co worker, and she's same way.
This made me curious.
How do "the people" feel about this?
Is it easier on you to commute in the dark in the morning, or in the afternoon darkness?
Get up before sunrise? I don't think so. At least not in my current career where flex schedules and working from home are common.
I do remember the bad old days before that was accepted having to leave for work in the dark, have lunch at my desk, and leave for home in the dark and never got to see the sun on weekdays though.

I said morning, because even in the middle of the summer it's dark when I leave home at 5am. I find it annoying to get home at 4:00pm and find it dark, as will happen within the next few weeks thanks to the clock change.
I checked dusk. Part of the reason is that I live in Vermont, and during the winter early morning snow conditions can be pretty bad. I find that if I have to drive a long distance--for instance I frequently have a two hour drive to court--the driving conditions are better if I can leave later and give the plows and the sun more chance to clear the roads.
you need another option for i dont care, because i have driven at all times of the day and night, and i just dont care what time of day or night i drive in, its pretty much all the same to me.
No commuters please refrain from voting maybe?
So far, we have overwhelming "I'd rather commute in the dark in the morning". So I am not alone. I have no problems in the morning. Same commute back in the dark is like driving sitting on needles. All stressed out, triple careful changing lanes or finding spot in traffic.
