The other day I saw a new malibu without the malibu badge on the back. Was wondering how someone does this? I see this all the time on European cars.

Older cars used to have locating holes and the badge had these prongs. So people used to leave them otherwise you had holes in the sheet metal. The new cars are stick on badges and you just peel them off and there are no holes

Most of the time it's just adhesive. Heat it up a bit and use dental floss to remove. Use goo-gone to remove leftover adhesive.

Be sure to give the area a good cleaning and waxing after you remove the emblem.

Lol. You sure you can handle it? Look for a Type-R badge. I hear those really up the HP.

Since it's a Corolla, try "LEVIN" or "SPRINTER" emblems. Don't forget the 20-valve emblem from the yesteryear 4AGE-20 engine.

Some people are so committed to the no badge look they'll even have a body shop fill in the holes if there are some and flatten out the area if it had an indent for the badge.

We used to call that "shaving" and it was done to get rid of the clunkiness that cluttered up the body.

I've always wondered if this should even be legal. Say a badgeless car was used in a crime, and an eyewitness, instead of looking at the plate, glances at the area where the brand badge usually is thinking they'll at least get the make/model of the car.

"Well, officer, it was a white.... sedan".
