Maybe that's why the salesman let me go alone.

Wow must be a "hell" of a car if the salesman is willing to die over it. I would be handing the guy the keys. Im not gonna die over a car.

It reminds me of that Jeff Gordon Pepsi video, in a much more sinister and dark way.

One of many reasons dealerships get copies of driver's licenses before test drives, (aside from making sure you are licensed to drive a car.)

That was policy at the dealership when I was selling cars.
We had one sales woman and if she felt any sort of vibe she wouldn't go on the drive.
Only one time did I get pulled over by the cops on a test drive. The young guy testing a GTO got on it a bit at the wrong time and went by a cop. My manager was not happy when we got back but hey I wasn't driving and I certainly didn't encourage the guy.
I'm surprised that this doesn't happen more considering all the test drives that take place daily and the amount of idiots out there.

The sales guy is lucky to be alive.

I wonder if a manager would back the sales person up if the customer gave them a hinky feeling or make the sale at all cost attitude?

This happened about 30 years ago in Ohio, except the salesman ended up dead.

Geez, this story is intense and it does sound like a made up script for a bad movie.

Your first bit of intrigue is learning that he had a fight and was tossed in the trunk. Dang!

But no, there's more. Then he unlocked the trunk and rolled out of it while the car was moving. Cripes.

That's enough for most people, but no! There's still more.

Then the perp stops, gets out, and points a gun at the sales guy...holy crap!

And there's even MORE!

Sales guy manages to knock the gun out of perp's hand. For the love of God, people, this is insane.

And to top it all off, while he was in the trunk, he had his friend tracking on with his phone, and the friend flagged down a cop.

Fricken seriously?!? I'm sharing this story the next time someone I know complains about their day at work.
