Car 1: oil change every 4 months. I don't drive enough to even hit 3K miles in that period. However, that's around the time oil viscosity starts to lose its integrity regardless of miles driven.
Car 2: Oil change once a year. Its brand new and only takes synthetic oil. According to the manufacturer (and my shop) synthetic oil viscosity does not break down over time and manufacturer recommends oil change once every 10K miles. The new car gets less then that in a year but we will change it once a year just to be safe.
Tire rotation: Every 6K miles. To the person who doesn't rotate tires: what are you thinking??????
I change the oil in my BMW at 10k intervals, like the oil monitor says. At 160k miles, it's still perfect. I do not rotate the tires. They are directional AND staggered front to rear, so you can't put the lefts on the right nor the fronts on the rear. Still get full lifespans out of them.
Every 7k miles in my fusion per the ford maintenance schedule. Rotate my tires myself when necessary generally every 2 oil changes, unless the front ones are still in better shape than rears.
