It's called a Suzuki SX4 which is based on the Suzuki Swift that competes with the Yaris.
Anyways, why would Toyota make something that offers more than what other models have.
Camry and Corollas don't even have AWD models. Toyota reliability that everyone touted is nothing more than cars with less features which makes them easily more reliable than other makes that offer AWD, Turbo, and Direct Injection tech.
I guess if I want a smallish semi-sporty AWD vehicle here in the Totalitarian States of America I gotta go with the Subaru Crosstrek.
Too bad we can't even get the Ram 700 here.
I hear tell this might be coming. Along with a 500x Abarth. In fact, the latter is expected early next year.
Expecting fun from a Toyota not developed by Subaru is a bit much to ask. Luckily, Fiat seems intent to give us some fun cars...provided Mr. Sweater stays in business anyway. ANd I'm sure Mazda will resurrect Mazdaspeed at some point, a Mazdaspeed CX-3 could be fun too.
I would rally with a 94-01' Subaru Impreza. You can buy a cheap Impreza L for like $800-2000 with AWD and upgrade to a monster if you put in $4k+ You can have Race spec gears, JDM engine, trannys, and turbo options.
You can't get any other car out there with that many Rally parts for less.
I too miss homologation rally cars, but rally itself isn't as good as it used to be.
