The car should be destroyed for charity. Those events where you can select a baseball bat, sledgehammer, golf club, ax, or a variety of other toys and pay per swing.

And make the driver stand there and watch as his "baby" gets destroyed.
(Mighty_P...are you not that aggressive driver with the Challenger in other threads? )
This idiot should consider himself lucky, that he doesn't live in Ontario, Canada.
That offence here would bring the following sentence.
Automatic 7 day license suspension, the car is seized and impounded until the court renders a decision.........upon conviction the car is auctioned off to the public, The minimum fine is $2,000, and the maximum is $10,000. And a 12 month driving license suspension. If the owner still owes money on the car loan.......too bad. They still have to pay the loan back.
After being convicted for this offence, just try to get insurance.....and in Ontario the fine for driving with out insurance is a minimum $5,000, and a second conviction that that offence is $20,000.

So. Are we serious about this ? Yes we are .

You always drone on like this yet you can't seem to explain why people in Ontario, particularly GTA, drive like ANIMALS. 85-90mph packs every time I go. Remnants of devastating high speed wrecks, every time I go. Very few people pulled over relative to the near entire population breaking these laws with DRACONIAN penalties.
Also, you are WRONG about the seizure. It is a 7 day seizure, they don't auction it off. Embellish much?

I got clipped at 140 mph years ago....$250 fine and License revoked for 6 months with the ability to re-apply after that period of time.
When I got pinched, it was 2am, no traffic, on a Parkway....saw the glow of "State Police" and hit the brakes....too late. I would never have done this on a busy, or occupied road....just me on the road....well, except for the Trooper sittin' there
In AZ that is a felony, he would have been arrested on the spot and his vehicle impounded, his license confiscated, and spent the night in jail or until bailed out.

Bull! I have seen people driving 85 while looking down fooling with their phone... more dangerous.
I received a ticket once for 104mph in a 65mph zone. Where the dollar amount was it just said COURT. Ended up not being that big of a deal, I paid under $200 in court fees and completed an 8 hour defensive driving course and it doesn't even appear on my driving record.
I bet this driver also works out a deal and I doubt he'll spend any time in jail.
