I always loved the Mopar's but i never owned one, i had a friend who bought a 68 charger with original 60,000 miles, it was just like new, the guy just trashed it, a couple of years later it was a pile of junk, I bet he regets it now. He also had a 340 duster that he thrashed.
I guess I'm kind of old school. I don't know if it'd be considered a MoPar muscle car, but it's got muscle.
The 383/2bbl is so clean and tight that I don't want to mess with it. I would like to consider putting in a new intake and 4bbl with dual exhaust and maybe a factory type header, but for now it purrs the way it is. It'll do 80 up our steep grade here (6%) with the AC on, but I'd like to hear that engine roar a bit more.
Any thoughts? Being a 4-door, I'm not TOO concerned about the modifications. I picked it up on ebay for 2300.
I bought mine in 1974 (340, 3.55, 4 speed. Ralleye dash) I still own it and it has aprox 57K miles. The car is basically stock, Accel dual point, heads were redone recently, Flowmaster exhaust. I don't think I'll ever sell it and will probably pass it on to my son.
By any chance do you belong to the A body website? A Body Mopar Forum . Nice car. I need to upload my Duster pics to flickr and get some shots posted
Polara? I'm seeing a 300? By the way, I was raised up right here I am as a kid
and although I can't say Dodge girls have more fun, Mopar girls certainly do.
