Question New Accord V6/4 cylinder

So the new Honda Accord with the alternating V6 to 4 cylinder technology... how reliable can it be? I mean, like all gizmos and gadgets, it's going to crap out long before the life of the car is up, right?

Who knows anything about that regulator that determines when to use 4 or all 6 cylinders? I love Hondas, but this new gadget makes me skeptical. Will it run at all when it goes out? Which mode will it be in? How much will it be to fix or replace?

Ever since Honda started packing high-tech stuff into their cars, they've been having more and more problems. Albeit theyre still very reliable and all, but not on the levels they were in the late 80s to the mid-90s. Whatever happened to their slogan "simplify"?

On this note, I'm hoping the above Accord is my next vehicle in the near future. Anyone have thoughts on the car in general?
