I can go to Redding Cal to save 17 to 20 cents a gallon, but Redding is 143 miles one way. I have filled up in Brookings Oregon and saved up to 37 cents a gallon, but again Brookings is 90 miles one way. There is nothing that we can do other than not drive or buy gas. We went over $4 last summer and I expect to see that again this summer if not before that.

You guys should be thankful....Using my handy dandy conversion table, I calculate my price at $4.09 per US gallon. It has been higher priced here in Canada for years, and that was understandable when we had a 65 cent dollar, but how do the oil companies justify it now that our dollar is close to par?

I think you guys get bent over with your taxes. Not sure how it works on gas up across, but for everything else you get creamed with taxes.

That's cause chicago is one of the only states (NY? too) that allows its counties and individual towns to add their own little "tax" onto the mix. Thus every little 2 cents per gallon tax... adds up. And IL is still going broke.

We have not seen below $3.08 in over a year.now $3.30.Also affected food products, milk $4.39,eggs $2.29 etc. I would say ethanol is an expensive joke if you give it a very long thought, from field to refinery.

Gasoline is $5.00/Imperial gal here in this part of Canada, I think that's equivalent to $4.26/US gal.

It never went anywhere near as low as $3.00 in our area of Connecticut, either. The lowest I remember recently was $3.24 on a Wacky Wednesday when they give you .5 cents off a gallon. Today I filled up, and it was 3.47 a gallon.
