Worst automotive trend?
Here's a fun poll for you all to participate in. Vote for the worst automotive trends you can think of (multiple choices allowed)! Please check "other" and then list what trend you cant stand and why. Have fun with this one!
Oh, on option #2, by "airbags" I mean suspension airbags, not the airbags on the inside of the car. Thought Id mention that...

My favorite is ironing-board-sized wings on cars that top out at 110 on a good day. I especially love it when they're angled to create lift instead of downforce. Way to go, clothead...

* rear wings.... on front wheel drive cars.
* 'sporty' additions (spoilers, wings etc) that adds additional weight to the car; or sports cars like porsches loaded up with sun roof, GPS, automatic transmission, and additional electronic gadgets.
But what gets me the most these days are not what people do with their cars after they buy them (in essence, that's their perogative...); but the way advertisers are "marketing" their cars... like making SUVs out to be like a very good handling sports car.
Yes, marketing in general is exaggeration... but we already have enough stupid people out there.. we don't need them thinking their "high center of gravity cars" can take corners like a F1. Or with any car, that by buying it, they can drive like Lewis Hamilton.

I don't understand why it makes a difference if it's FWD or RWD with regard to a wing.
Having a (small) wing on the trunk can actually be an asset for those of us who live in the city and do a lot of parallel parking. It makes it easier to tell where the rear end of the car is in relation to the car behind us.

I don't mind spinner rims; but spinner hubcaps are a whole different story!

Sometimes i wonder where people get the money to spend on cars that look like absolute trash, body kits on a geo prism I must admit i'm into all types of cars old and new, but tastefully done cars. Guys will put exhaust with nismo and neuspeed stickers on a chevy cavalier and swear they can take on a porsche. These are the kinds of jerks who also hurt innocent people street racing in a slow a@# piece of junk. Please i beg these people, No more space shuttle wings on your 4 cyl econo rides.

OMG! I have seen cars with four TV's playing but yet only the only person in the car is the driver. And whats the deal with the $3k 22 inch rims on the ten year old granny Buick?

Drive wheels matter not when adding a spoiler. Thanks for voting though.
