Does the missing belt also run the power steering? Was the power steering unit replaced? Is it properly aligned?

There has to be a video somewhere. Though I would suggest spending 30 bucks on a manual at the auto parts. It will help now and later.

The hose was all that was wrong and replaced. It was so torn up it was like a leaky faucet that turned into a drippy tub faucet when driven. It would spray out and hit the belt,I assume. If it was hot outside, it'll smoke up pretty quickly. So I drove it around on a hot day until the smoke started then hurried up and popped the hood and watched it spray out (from somewhere I couldn't pinpoint) and hit a pipe, causing it to smoke up.

Since getting the hose fixed I've never once had the issue reoccur, so I'm fairly confident it was that. But the mechanics who looked at the car, and fixed the hose, said everything else was fine enough (minus my tires in general).

I'm also NOT doing it now for various reasons. First reason is that I live in MN and it finally snowed (guess we're having a snowy effing winter after all) and it's cold as hell, like in the negatives cold. I'm not taking my "I hate snow in general" self outside for any prolonged period of time to work on my car unless it's in a garage, and it's not. Second reason is more practical, I simply don't have the belt yet. My local O'Reilly place has it in stock for less than $30, so when I finally have the funds to I'll go down that way and see if they can help me pick the right one. That and the manual suggested. I now regret not getting it months ago when I was in Blaine, but that's what I get for thinking everything was gonna be peachy. Lesson learned.
