Is that what that means? I always thought people were just being a-hole's to me.

It's just a personal, common sense decision on my part. I differentiate between exceeding the speed limit on an interstate from speeding through a school zone or down my neighborhood lane.

After all, flashing your lights slows the speeders down. Isn't that what the police are trying to do?

However, I might point out that here in Ontario, we do have what many consider to be an unfair situation in regard to speeding. On our "400 Series" highways, which are designed for high-speed long trips, the speed limit is 100 k/hr (about 62 mph). This is unreasonably low, so many motorists go at about 120 k/hr, which, during the day in good weather is a reasonable speed. However, the unreasonable limit allows the police to set speed traps, and rake in the cash. So, for that reason also, I flash my lights.

People with FOP stickers deserve to get pulled over and ticketed. Why should people even have to donate to police officers anyway? Why can't these tickets and taxes take care of their donuts?

You do realize that it is a speed LIMIT right? Meaning that you're not supposed to go over that speed no matter what lane you're in? Someone who is driving 55 mph has every right to drive that speed, despite other morons' need to drive 80 mph. The jackasses who tailgate me always make me slam on my brakes suddenly just to pi$$ them off and hopefully make them pi$$ their pants.

What the hell is the hurry anyways?
But staying to the right is also the law in most states. If you purposely block the left lane, you're violating the law, and just as bad as the so called "morons" who are speeding. If you drive just to **** people off, it's not going to end well for you. Ever hear of road rage? Or some "moron" might plow into you after you brake to get them off your tail. Not risks I'd want to take. Better to do the polite thing and move right. If someone wants to drive fast, that's between him and law enforcement. It's not your job to try and control speeders.

I didn't say that I purposely block the passing lane at 55 mph, I just said someone has the right to drive 55 in the passing lane, since it is the speed limit, meaning that legally, you're not supposed to go over that speed (or whatever the posted speed limit is). But, I do not take kindly to tailgaters and will slam my brakes. I never tailgate anyone, no matter how slow they are going....it could be a little old lady and tailgating them could scare the daylights out of them and make them lose control...it could be a young driver just learning to drive and taking it carefully, etc. I have no patience for tailgaters.
