Observing the selfishness and idiocracy of the general public behind the wheel of their cars is one of the easier to spot "tells" of how doomed humanity really is. And I'm not even kidding a little bit.

People have been complaining about how the upcoming generation is awful. Yet here we are, centuries later. Somehow I think we'll continue on, inspite of road rage.

Besides, times are changing, just like they always have. Cars are more expensive, traffic is worse. Autonomous cars are, well not here but not far off it seems. Another decade and I bet it'll all be different.

If you pass me to merge, fine it's a good thing because you're preventing a traffic jam - which is the nature of zipper merging. Zipper merging is about using both lanes between the first and second signs to keep traffic flowing.

Yes we were a victims of road rage I guess. A few years ago we were going to the supermarket. Another car with a boy and a girl ran a stop sign and hit our car. Minor damage. This is where road rage came in. As our driver and the driver of the other car were exchanging information my cell phone rang and it was my aunt. The girl in the other car jumped out and stated screaming and cussing when she saw me on phone in in our car. She assumed that I was filming her. I got off the phone with my aunt and did start to film her. She kept saying "I work in television !! I can NOT be filmed". Yes she even screamed the TV station that employed her and her title in their weather department. She even did damage to our car with her fists. Her own boyfriend told her to cool it and she wouldn't listen. Anyway after several days I decided to send the video of her having a fit to her TV station and yes she was fired. I even got an email from their weatherman saying thanks and they didn't need someone like that on their staff. She wouldn't listen !! Rule of thumb...don't tell people where you work at if you decide to be an a$$ in public. Now as far as the "...why did you do that ??" people...I will say this. I am glad she was fired.

Yep. I've had it before. But luckily, it never escalated much beyond gestures and then "hoping you'll see them flipped over on the side of the road some place".
Just like stressful jobs, if it gets too bad for one, perhaps it's time to step away for awhile and eat up whatever losses may be incurred. Bad credit ratings and loss of income never killed anybody.
