My husband got rear ended today. Someone hit him at about 20 mph as he was stopped at a red light. Luckily my husband had his trailer hitch on, so his truck was fine. The other car, on the other hand... well, the damage can speak for itself

I hope the other insurance company comes after you for damages from the hitch. Depending on where you live, it could be illegal to keep the hitch on when not in use.

We live in Texas, never heard of that being illegal. And if the other driver didn't want damages from the hitch they shouldn't have hit it

The airbags of their car went off, but the driver wasn't injured (or at least he didn't tell my husband if he was!)
