Hey there. Recently I saw a gorgeous vintage car on the road, but only for a split second. I'd love to know what it was. The rear looked like a '62 Chevette Stingray with that hump on the back, but the whole car seemed longer like a sedan, and it had medium size fins. I think it was a hardtop, but not sure. Is there a vintage car anything like that? I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. Thanks!
I tnink the Riviera is it. The swooping style above the rear tires tricked me into thinking of fins. Thanks so much everyone!
There is only one other car besides the Riviera that I can think of that might fit the description of "like the Stingray rear glass hump," and that would be the 64-66 Baracudda...
The Barracuda's rear glass "hump" was not as pronounced, but it did have fins.
FYI, during the time frame of the vehicle in question Imperial was a make, not a model. Saying "Chrysler Imperial" is like saying "Ford Lincoln" or "GM Cadillac".
Not that it really matters, but the Stingray didn't come out until '63.
...and GM began selling the Chevette in fall of 1975.
