I'd say that's still a technicality. Their design center and factories are still Swedish and their style isn't a ripoff of everybody else. That's like saying Jeep Wranglers are Italian.

No, but the Jeep Renegade is Italian. It's just a rebadged Fiat 500x with a little suspension tuning.

The Made in China logo is very prevalent around the world particularly in North America,just go to any American big box store where the parking lots are full and most of the products are from China including many food items so its not unreasonable to see the beginnings of China flooding the market with their automotive products.
I remember back in the 60s when the Japanese started entering the North American market,their automotive products were scorned and vilified,how they doing today ?

It's still Swedish. Volvos will also soon be built in South Carolina, would you say those Volvo's would be American?

Geely Automotive Group (a Chinese company) owns Volvo. They are building a plant in Charleston SC to produce Volvo's. The land they bought is large enough for another manufacturing plant. Some speculate they will built Geely cars there for their entry into the US market.
